As?I write this, it?s another rainy day. Hopefully when this column is read we?ll have sunny days.

The rain may be sending people in to eat with us since we have had 50 every day.

Theresa Graham brought in one of her roses, almost mauve in color.

We have been voting on carpet samples and voted to go ahead carpeting the center. We will be hosting the 50th annual county board meeting here in the fall.

Ann Boese celebrated her birthday with us May 18. If your own birthday looks to be boring at home, come celebrate here.

Our automatic door openers are installed, awaiting electrical hook-up to be operational.

Senior Center Day was May 19. We welcomed six residents of Marion Assisted Living plus three staff members.

The program was given by Mick and Noreen Weems, showing a DVD of their adventures in Colorado.

Come join us on June 2. The program will be Nancy Marr showing antique items.

Everyone is invited to come for lunch, and reservations are due by 9 a.m. the day of the meal. For reservations, call 620-382-2942.
