Marion Senior Center

During spring break, we welcomed grandchildren coming to eat at the senior center. What an easy way to feed kids.

We also welcomed Hilltop Manor residents March 18. They had a hankering for chili.

Former Marion resident and a long-time elementary school teacher sent us a card and photo from Cordell, Okla., where she now lives. We hope to see her at Old Settlers Day.

Jerry Harp brought treats to us to celebrate his late father?s birthday. We?ll do anything to have treats.

We had a reading, ?Cold is a Relative Thing,? comparing tough Kansans in winter to those in other states.

Merle Ecklund came March 24 to play his accordion. His friend, Deb Harrington, sang along with her karaoke machine.

Ecklund started by asking if there was a woman named Pearl present. Sure enough Pearl Helmer was here. He had been asked by a mystery person to play a waltz for her.

Come join us for lunch April 7. Jerry Kline will display his John Deere collection.

Lunch reservations are due by 9 a.m. the day of the meal. For reservations, call 620-382-2942.
