We had more excitement than we wanted when the electricity went off on March 6. Thank goodness we don’t have electric ovens, so we could have our noon meal. We welcomed the lunch bunch that day. They hadn’t come since the first of the year because of the winter weather.
Rhonda Brenzikofer brought in treats for her birthday on March 6, also.
Merle Ecklund played his accordion for us on March 7. Several fans of his came from Herington to eat lunch and enjoy the program. He invited one of them, Berylene Brockmeier, to play the piano for us. She tickled the ivories in her fast and fancy style.
Our St. Patrick’s meal of corned beef and cabbage will be on March 15. We invite everyone to wear green that day.
Come join us for Senior Center Day on March 21.
Meals are $3.50 for age 60-plus and $5.25 for age 59 and under. For more information or to make meal reservations, call 620-382-2942 or stop by at 309 S. Third St., Marion.
