Senior Scribbles (June 6, 2009)

A ?jam session? is planned from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, at the Hillsboro Senior Center. Anyone who plays a musical instrument and would like to join others for a time of fun with music is welcome.

Paul Unruh, a doctor of optometry, will be speaking after the Wednesday, June 10, luncheon. His presentation will be ?Care of Your Eyes.?

Also on Wednesday, be prepared to stay and play some games. Some seniors have made a request for a card game of Pitch and also chess. If interested in either game, let us know.

Thank you to all those who volunteer at the Senior Center and to the Lewis Hagen family for a planter and The Garden Center for planting it. The flowers are a beautiful addition to greet seniors at the front door.

Looking ahead: Elfreda Fast will be telling experiences from her past on Tuesday, June 16.

?Mary Dudley, director
