Marion senior center

We had some fun with a visitor to our center one day, a little girl named Erica Hollins.

She had a toy monkey baby without a name. Being an enterprising child, she asked some of our dine-in people to choose between ?Sue Ann? or ?Precious.?

The winning name was ?Precious,? but to make everyone happy, the monkey became ?Precious Sue Ann.?

We had homemade cookies to celebrate Richard Brenzikofer?s birthday June 10. His wife, Rhonda, baked the cookies.

There is a new entree on our menu for July?shrimp. We voted to try it.

Our monthly menu is now on Community Channel 2.

Darrell Weigart brought candy bars to celebrate his birthday June 14. We celebrated Flag Day with the Pledge of Allegiance and flag trivia.

Senior Center Day was June 16. Anita Hancock brought two of her piano students, Tyler Arocha and Shyla Haris.

Red Hat Day is Wednesday, July 7, and we have invited Wichita members of the society to join us.

The center will be closed Monday, July 5.

For more information or to make lunch reservations, call 620-382-2942 or stop by the facility, 309 S. Third before 9 a.m. the day of the meal.
