Marion senior center

What a great time of the year. We?re getting some garden things and flowers almost every day.

Wilma Gilmer brought in homegrown rhubarb and the community garden in Florence sent us radishes.

Shirley Bowers brought in a vase of peonies May 25 in honor of her husband, David, who would have been 88 on that day.

Ann Boese celebrated her birthday with us May 19 and Joan Meyer brought treats on May 23.

We turned off the lights briefly before lunch on May 20. It was a surprise meal because our supplier couldn?t provide what was on the menu. Whatever we have is always good, though.

We welcomed Hilltop residents May 25. Merle Ecklund provided accordion music following lunch.

Come join us June 8. The musical program will be by Wanda Williams.

For more information on programs or to make a lunch reservation, call 620-382-2942 by 9 a.m. the day of the meal or stop by the center, 309 S. Third St.
