We celebrated Red Hat Day July 7 with 13 red hat ladies, two red cap men and one kitchen volunteer wearing a cardboard affair with ?Red Hat? written on it.

Connie Geier of Wichita displayed hats and gave a short presentation. Dee Duggan, Ramona Beisel, Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber, Red Hat ladies from Tampa, joined us.

Virginia Bowers provided birthday treats July 2. We had some July 4 trivia following the flag salute that day.

Gary Dvorak, food service operations manager of the Area Agency on Aging, came by to introduce our new field representative, Coral Wright.

We later had a meeting of Marion County Senior Center site managers in Hillsboro.

A crew was here June 28 to help us assemble the newsletter. They included Ivanlee Timm, Beulah and Darrell Weigart, Elsie Reiswig, Harvey Wells, Evelyn Jewett, Jane Makovec, Nora Richter, Virginia Downing, Lanell Hett and Gayla Ratzlaff.
