The center is hosting Bingo Wednesday, Feb. 29.
Paul Jantzen will present a slide show of snow scenes set in poetry at 12:30 p.m. March 1.
Show and Tell is Friday, March 2. Anyone who has something to share is invited.
Our board meeting is at 10 a.m. March 5 and we hope others can join us.
A St. Patrick?s Day breakfast fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, March 17, and we encourage everyone to mark their calendars and join us.
All proceeds from the breakfast will go towards helping the center.
Anyone at any age can enjoy a meal at the center. We also have great fellowship.
Volunteers are needed from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to help set tables and clean up.
We want to thank everyone who helps at the center, our volunteer drivers with the Meals on Wheels program and our board members for their hard work.
We are still taking applications for a head cook. If interested, stop by or all.

Marion senior center
We are winding down February and waiting to see if March comes in like a lion or a lamb.
We were glad to receive a letter from Pauline Edmunds? daughter bringing us up-to-date and with a current address. Pauline would enjoy hearing from everyone. She taught school in Marion for many years.
We have a new shipment of boxed cards?sympathy and birthday.
Evelyn Obermeyer and Jerry Kline brought treats for their birthdays on Feb. 20.
Shirley Bowers had a ?show and tell? on Feb. 22. She showed us a framed religious picture she inherited from Barbara Libal.
Our program that day was presented by Wanda Williams, who plays music loud and fast. The room was full of lively music.

Peabody senior center
March is almost here. Will it come in like a lion and go out like a lamb? Who knows.
With the winter we have just experienced, we know it is just a wait-and-see game. Who could imagine that we could have the mild winter that we have just experienced?
Throughout Lent we will have a pastor from our area giving an inspirational devotion each Wednesday after lunch.
These are very uplifting and we encourage others to come share a meal and stay for a wonderful short message of hope. Marilyn Cox will be speaking March 7.
Our monthly birthday party is March 6. If you have a birthday in March come celebrate with us and, if not, come help those who do have a wonderful day and meal. As always we will have Kim Nellan’s delicious oven fried chicken and all the trimmings for that special day.
We have several special things lined up for the month of March so come join us and learn some new information and visit with your friends over lunch.
Meals are served each weekday at 11:45 a.m. and we would love to have you call and reserve a meal with us.
March menus are now available.
Please call in your reservations for a meal the day before you plan to eat at 620-983-2226. We have an answering machine that will pick up if we are not here.
Meals are a suggested donation of $2.75 if you are 60 or above and $4.50 if you are not yet 60.
