hillsboro senior center

The center is having its annual fundraising event March 16 at the Milk & Honey Bed and Breakfast, which includes meal and music for $100.

All proceeds go to support the center. Anyone who would like their name on the list for tickets is asked to call.

Activities planned this week include Bingo after the noon meal on Feb. 13. The Valentine?s Day dinner is Feb. 14 and there are a few spots still available.

Mary McFadden will be here Feb. 12 and March 12 for footcare. If interested, call for an appointment.

Haris Zafar is available Feb. 20 for hearing aid checks on the first-come, first-served.

Our business meeting is also Feb. 20 during our noon meal.

We would like to invite everyone to enjoy a meal at the center. The cost for those age 60 and over is $3.15 and ages 59 and under is $5.

We serve a great meal for the price, along with fellowship. All of us are grateful to people who support the facility.

Ash Wednesday is Feb. 13 and we will start our annual Lent devotions after the midday meal each Wednesday throughout Lent.

Pastor Jim Pohlman will speak on our first Wednesday, and we will have local pastors and laymen from the community speaking each week.

Of course we would love to have others join us for any meal.

Please call the day before to reserve your place. The meal cost is $3.15 for those age 60 and above and the price is $5 to all others age 59 and under. Anyone is welcome to join us regardless of your age group.

Lunch reservations are necessary so that Kim Nellans, our cook, will have plenty of food.

Messages can be left on the center?s answering machine after hours.

For more information, to make a lunch reservation or contact Ratzlaff for an appointment, the center?s telephone number is 620-983-2226.
