Senior Scribbles (Feb. 10, 2010)

Hello from the Hillsboro Senior Center and hope everyone is enjoying their week.

We have some great activities planned, beginning Thursday, Feb. 11, with foot care and at 12:30 p.m. Nancy Marr, guest speaker, will be talking about the old stone house in Marion.

Then at noon Friday, Feb. 12, we will be having our Valentine?s dinner with special music by Lewis Hagen. A make-up meal is also scheduled for noon Saturday, Feb. 13, and everyone is welcome to join us. Remember to call us at 947-2304 before 9 a.m., the day of the meal, to make your reservation.

The SER Corporation is a non-profit senior community service employment program, offering 20 hours a week, minimum wage jobs, for people 55 and older.

SER Corporation is funded by the Department of Labor, and there is no charge to senior citizens or the companies who use the organization?s services, according to information provided.
