Hillsboro Senior Center
This week we have hearing aid checks at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, and a jam session Friday, Aug. 22, either after lunch or during lunch, whichever works best.
Everyone who plays an instrument is encouraged to play it and have a good time with the music.
Those bringing an instrument to play will also get their meal free. All we ask is that you let us know ahead of time.
We want to thank everyone for all the fresh produce donated to our center.
Volunteers are still needed. For those who can help, please call or stop by the center. Volunteers get their meals free the day they work, too.
We are here from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are located at 212 N. Main St., or call 620-947-2304.

I almost caught the Tomato Fairy. I came to work and there was a woman standing outside. When I opened the front door, there was a big bag of tomatoes.
The government commodities were late in arriving Aug. 13. There were loyal volunteers helping unload and with distribution.
An excellent crew boxed the items for Marion and included Shirley Moore, Sue Clough, Val Morgan, Rhonda Brenzikofer, Jackie Hett and Thelma Blosser.
We had a presentation Aug. 13 by Judy Thompson, Veteran Services representative. She will be at our center every other month beginning in October.
Come join us Aug. 27. Ann Minear will provide piano music for our enjoyment.
For more information or lunch reservations, call 620-382-2942 by 9 a.m. the day of the meal. We are located at 309 S. Third St.
