The ?Carry-in meal? is Wednesday. Everyone is encouraged to bring their family?s favorite dish and enjoy a shared luncheon and fellowship with other seniors.
Following the meal will be a presentation by Personal Energy Transportation Company of Moundridge. They make wheelchairs for needy people around the world.
PET of Kansas started in the summer of 2004 when Larry Hills visited his friend Kirby Goering in Moundridge.
Goering set up the 10th PET project affiliation at 320 W. Ruth St. in Moundridge. The construction is finished and the shop is equipped with the machines and templates needed to manufacture the PETs. Since September 2005, PET Kansas has put together literally hundreds of PETs.
The project is still in need of some equipment, but the greatest need is for monetary donations so more parts can be purchased.
Also on Wednesday, Dr. Haris Zafar will be at the center beginning at 11 a.m. for those wanting help with their hearing aids.
Foot care is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20. Call for an appointment at 947-2304.
Following the meal, we will all enjoy a sing-a-long with pastor Plato and Ann Shepherd. After that is ?Theatre Day? showing ?The Journey of Natty Gann.?
An ice-cream social will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Those wanting to attend are asked to sign up.
This is one of our fundraising events which we depend on for our operating funds.
Suggested donations are $5 per person. Walk-ins welcome.
A ?Show and Tell? is planned Monday. Everyone is asked to bring any of their old postcards for everyone to enjoy.
