Marion County Sheriff Rob Craft will provide the program after lunch on Tues­day, April 11.

Chair massages are schedule for April 12, but we ask you call for more information. Thursday, April 13, is our jam session and Fri­day, April 14 is the center’s Easter dinner, We were taking reservations, but now we are completely booked. If anybody would like to have their name placed on a waiting list in case someone calls with a cancellation.

We are sorry we couldn’t get everyone in for the Easter meal, but we hope everyone has a happy Easter.

More volunteers are needed from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., and also Meals On Wheels drivers to substitute from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Anyone who helps will receive a free meal that day.

We are still looking for dining room volunteers to help serve meals, deliveries and other preparatory tasks. Call us at 620-382-2942.

We welcomed the Lunch Bunch April 4. Irene Richmond’s granddaughter, Penny and husband Jack, brought her in to eat with us. Irene is 100 plus years old and somewhat housebound, but perky as ever.

Dan White, who plays a musical saw, will be here April 5 for a musical program.

Come join us April 19 when the program will be given by Denise Groene, state director of the Better Business Bureau with her office in Wichita.

She plans to talk about scams and other issues.

Meals are $3.50 for those age 60 and older, and $5.25 for age 59 and younger.

Phoebe Janzen did a program on how she came to write and publish the book “Women of Marion County.”

The photographs were ­beautiful, and so are the women pictured in the book.

This month’s birthday dinner is April 12. Musical entertainment is provided by Virginia Skinner.

Pastor Roger Charles will give our last Lenten devotion on April 12 right after lunch.

Friday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m. is Easter Brunch with sausage gravy and biscuits and cinnamon roll or blueberry muffin.

The Easter dinner is April 17, and includes lamb or ham. The Senior Center board meets at 9:30 a.m.

Dinner with Randolph Whitely, a local physician, is Wednesday April 19. The Senior Citizens of Marion County or SCMC is meeting April 21 at Tampa.

National Volunteer Week is April 23-29. Volunteers keep us going and keep our seniors in their homes. Please remember to thank a volunteer.
