Senior Scribbles (9-5-18)

HILLSBORO senior center

We will play bingo on Wednesday, Sept. 5 after the noon meal.

On Thursday, Sept. 6 Dr. Schmidt will be talking over lunch about the Kansas state fair that starts on Friday, Sept. 7.

Sunday, Sept. 9 is grandparents day.

We hope everyone can join us for a meal soon. We are in need of volunteers from 11a.m. -1:15p.m. Please call the center for more information at 620-947-2304 if you are 14 years or older you can help volunteer.

As a reminder, our center only pays our bills from the donations we bring in so we are greatful for everyone’s help and support.

The money for the suggested donation of the meals goes to the NCFHAAA for our food as well as the head cook and site mangers wages which is miniuim wage. The donations do not help with any of the bills or repairs to our center.

We do have fundraisers to help get money, too. We are blessed with such great people in our commitity to help support our center.

Please stop by or invite a friend or family member to eat a meal with you soon. We also have meal tickets you can purchase. They make a great gift for someone.

We are also looking for someone to shovel snow in the winter and put ice melt out for us let us know if you know of someone that could hep.
