Senior Scribbles (9-4-19)

HILLSBORO Senior Center

We hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.

We will have Hillsboro Community Hospital here on Friday, Sept 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

They will have people to talk to about different medical stuff. They will be coming every first Friday of the month and have different people here so I will try to see who will be here to let people know.

We are needing volunteers and meals on wheels drivers. We are needing a sub cook to fill in when Kendra needs off or is sick. You will get trained for this.

We need a sub dishwasher, too.

If you can help with any of these, please let us know at 620-947-2304 or stop by the center at 212 N. Main from 8a.m.- 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We hope you can come join our team. We are also looking for program ideas and maybe doing a craft class before or after the noon meal. If there are people out there that would be willing to do that for us let us know.

We hope our cooler weather will start to stay longer and people can enjoy being out doors again.

We hope you will come enjoy a great meal at our center soon. Everyone any age is welcome to join us. The suggested donation is 60 and over $3.50 and 59 and under is 5.25. It’s a great meal deal.

We want to thank all our wonderful volunteers, meals on wheels drivers and our board members for all their help and support to our center you are all a blessing to us to help keep our center going strong.
