This week was very busy for the Center. We now have carpet down and the furniture where it belongs. We are so grateful for our volunteers who did whatever was necessary to get the job done. It was truly a team effort. We finished in time to host the SCMC meeting last Friday. It’s hard to believe the damage heavy rains can do.
Marion County Health Department will be giving Flu shots at the Peabody Senior Center on Tuesday, Oct. 1. They will start at 11 a.m. and stay till all shots are given. If interested, let the Peabody Senior Center put your name on a list for the shot. You can just come in, don’t need an appointment. They will bill BCBS, most major insurance coverages, Medicare, State KanCare insurances and also accept cash and checks.
Let the Peppernut Baking begin. It’s that time of year, beginning Oct. 10. Can’t wait to see all of you volunteers. We are amazed and grateful for how many of you give up your time to help us with the peppernuts.
Don’t forget you can get the Free Press at Peabody Market and CK Pharmacy,
You are welcome to come and see your Senior Center and have a cup of coffee with us. October menus are ready. Meals are $3.50 for 60+ and $5.25 for 59 and under. Be sure to call and make a reservation. Take advantage of our Meals on Wheels program, please call for information (620-983 2226).
