Senior Scribbles (6-27-18)

HILLSBORO senior center

We will say goodbye to June soon, and cannot believe it is time for July.

We hope you will join us at the center. This week we have show-and-tell Friday, June 29; bring something to share. Then July arrives. We have games and fellowship every Monday after the noon meal; Wednesday we play bingo after the meal.

We hope everyone has a safe Fourth of July. We are always looking for program ideas; if anyone has one to present to us, you get a meal the day you do. We enjoy having programs at our center. We are looking for more volunteers; call 620-947-2304 for more information.

We want to thank everyone who supported our center at the farmers market meal fundraiser. We run on donations to pay all bills. So we are grateful for everyone who donates to our center.

The suggested donation for meals goes to the North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging to cover the cost of food and wages for the head cook and site manger.

Please thank our board members for all they do to keep our center a great place for fellowship and nutritious meals. They deserve a big thank-you for that.
