We had two programs on March 14, beginning with Dorothy Deckert from the Kansas Life Insurance Agency in Hutchinson.

Then we had lively music presented by vocalist Gerry Henderson and pianist Keith Allison. Their program included Irish songs in honor of St Patrick’s Day.

Amy Kjellin appeared to be present that day. It was her birthday so we sang to her.

Lucille Bitner gave Keith Allison a tie to wear on March 15. It said “Kiss Me I’m Irish”.

Senior Center Day was March 20 with Sue Clough conducting the business meeting .

We are hoping to find someone willing to donate a freezer to the center. Contact us if you have one.

Late breaking news! On March 22, the 2,000 piece jigsaw puzzle completed.

It seems as if this month has flown by. I hope all of you were able to see the beautiful full moon this past week.

We were very busy last week, we actually did exercise classes on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday evening we had a make-up meal consisting of chili, fruit and a homemade cinnamon roll.

A Lent program will be held each Wednesday right after lunch. Pastor Rodger Charles of Peabody Baptist Church will give the program on March 26. Pastor Jeff Lee or Aulne Methodist Church will be here on April 3. Peabody Methodist Church provides a free soup supper each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Tristen Cope of Marion County Extension will be here to lead us with our “Stay Strong, Stay Healthy” strength training program. Last Thursday weights were introduced into the training. We will meet again on Monday, March 25, Thursday, March 28 and continue through April.

We still need help in the kitchen, so if you can spare two and a half hours, once a week, we would love to have you come and be a part of our center.

April menus are ready for you to pick up, so come on by, enjoy a great meal and good conversation.
