This week Dr. Zafar will be here at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb 20. You can have a hearing aid check or your ears checked, too.

We will have a sing along after the noon meal on Thursday, Feb 21.

We have rescheduled the program with Lisa Schafer to Thursday, Feb. 28 after the noon meal. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but the weather was not looking good for the previously scheduled day.

Our birthday dinner will be at noon on Monday, Feb. 25.

We will be having a community waffle breakfast fundraiser from 7 a.m. -1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2. It is by donation so we hope you can come out and that the weather holds up well.

We will have the March menus out soon.

Thank you to everyone for your support to our center.

We are looking for more meals on wheels drivers. You will get trained so call for more information at 620-947-2304.

Once again we’re looking for a meal delivery person, this time on Wednesday. The route is mostly meals delivered to a housing facility so it’s easy. Give me a call if you can do it at 620-382-2942.

Shirley Moore brought candy two days in a row to be placed on each plate.

We enjoyed Valentine’s Day.

Cruz Carrasco brought in an Elvis portrait that is a unique combination of three poses in one depending on where it is viewed. He is a big Elvis fan. This picture is on display at the center.

Our program on Feb. 13 was a singalong led by Sue Clough with Keith Allison as pianist.

Come join us on Feb. 27 when the program will be given by the talented pianist Wanda Williams.

What a way to end a week. We appreciate Liz Clark for cleaning our walks last Friday. Have to admit it was a beautiful scene with all that snow.

We had a great birthday party on the Feb. 13 with piano by Sonja Koslowsky, Rachel doing chair massages, and Peabody Health and Rehab sending two nurses over to take blood pressures.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with treats and Valentine Trivia and we shared our treats with all our home deliveries.

We will have Therapy Exercise at 10:15 am on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The therapists coming are from Peabody Health and Rehab.

On Thursday, Tristin will be here to sign up for Stay Healthy exercise class that starts on Mon. Mar. 4. Be sure to come and be a part of this class. As the exercisers progress, she will introduce weights. The class will be 2 times a week until April 25. The class costs $15.00 for the course.

Bingo will also be held on Thursday, Feb. 21 with Shan Copeland. It will be right after lunch.

Come on by and say hi and stay for a meal. Meals are $3.50 for 60 and over and $5.25 for 59 and under.

Frozen meals are available and we do home deliveries. Thank you all for your support.
