Welcome to December. Stop by to see our stop n shop store for gift ideas. We also have meal tickets you can purchase which makes a great gift.
We will have games and fellowship every Monday after the noon meal.
On Wednesdays we play bingo after the noon meal.
On Thursday Dec. 6th, Doctor Susie McCintock will be speaking.
For upcoming events we will be having Jean and Arnie Boyd from Chapman singing on Monday, Dec. 17.
Our Christmas dinner is Thursday, Dec. 20. We need people signed up by Monday, Dec. 10. We can do deliveries and you can pick up by 11am on that day. Our program will be sing a long to Christmas songs.
We will be closed on Monday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 25 for the holiday. Please take note of this because if you like to purchase meal tickets, you will need to by Friday, Dec. 21.
We thank everyone for your support to our senior center. We are blessed with great people who care.
If you like to make a donation we can give you a receipt for your donation. We also are still looking for more volunteers so please let us know if you can help.

Thanks to Janie Westerman and her friend, Rebecca, fro coming in on Thanksgiving Day to decorate for Christmas. Lots of santas and snowmen. They also brought some clothing to sell in the craft corner – sweaters and jackets. We have Christmas decorations, also.
We welcomed members of the Lutheran Church to dine with us on Nov. 28.
We were closed on Nov. 26. Please remember our policy is to close when Marion schools are closed due to weather. Watch your TV listing on the screen.
The Vet rep will be here at 11 a.m. on Dec. 11. No appointment is necessary.
The Christmas music program on Dec. 12 will be given by Lydia and Jim Gates.
On Dec. 13, Dr. Whitely will be giving a presentation.

Hard to believe the year is almost gone. Seems like our diners are also wondering where did November go? Well, we are off and running with lots to do because this is December.
We appreciate all of you who took part in making, baking and filling the cookie sheets with our peppernuts. The peppernuts are now all sold, but we are already planning for next year.
Come Home for Christmas was held on Saturday, Dec.1 in Peabody, This special event was a full day of activities planned for all age groups. Our center was used for crafts, face painting and whatever else came up.
Grief Share will be from 3-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. This is open to anyone who would like to come.
Dr. Whitely will present a program at the Birthday Dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Rachel Gfeller will do chair massages and Sonja Koslowsky will play the piano.
We will also have the Christmas Light Tour on the evening of Dec. 12. The school bus from Peabody-Burns USD 398 will be providing the ride. They will pick up anyone who wants to see the lights around Peabody at 6:30 p.m. at the center. No charge and hot cocoa with treats will be served afterward. We look forward to seeing you.
The board meeting is on Monday, Dec. 17.
We will have Christmas Dinner with a baked ham dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
Christmas Brunch will be served at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21. We will have biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and fruit.
Remember we will be closed on Dec 24 and 25. If you need an extra meal, let us know. We keep frozen meals on hand. We will deliver the extra meals on Dec. 21.
We will have our annual Pizza Party on Dec. 31 at lunch time. Help us celebrate the end of the year and new beginnings for 2019.
December menus now available. Meals are $3.50 for 60+ and $5.25 for 59 and under.

We still need volunteers to help in the kitchen and dining room, so if you have a couple of hours once a week, we want you. We can always use substitutes so please keep us in mind.
