We’re enjoying treats brought in and Christmas cards sent to us, plus some jingle bell necklaces to wear. And we have the Christmas jigsaw puzzle completed just in time.

On Dec. 13, Dr. Whitely gave a program on frostbite.

On Dec. 14, we welcomed members of Harvest House. They are members of the Catholic Church in town.

On Dec 19, commodities were boxed up by Sue Clough, Vickie Kaempfe, Doris Winkler and brought up to the building by Bob Crawford and Teresa Eads.

That day was also Senior Center Day with President Sue Clough who conducted the business meeting. After lunch, we had a carol sing led by Sue and accompanied by Keith Allison. Keith also provided some acrobatic actions to some of the carols.

We are closed Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day. Suzie McClintock will be here for Thursday, Jan. 3 for more cardiac care information.

Put this on your calendar: Elvis will be here Saturday, Jan. 12.

On Friday, Dec. 21 we held our Christmas Brunch with many attending.

On Dec. 31 we will hold our Annual Pizza Party at lunch time. Thinking maybe we could celebrate an ugly sweater day then. Bob Delk and a couple of friends will be here to help celebrate.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. We appreciate all of our volunteers, diners and friends whom we deliver meals to. We look forward to continue serving you in the New Year.

January meals are now available. Meals are $3.50 for 60+ and $5.25 for 59 and under. Be sure to call and make a reservation.

Take advantage of our Meals on Wheels program, please call for information at 620-983-2226.

We still need volunteers to help in the kitchen and dining room, so if you have a couple of hours once a week, we want you. We can always use substitutes so please keep us in mind.
