The Hillsboro High School Scholars Bowl team placed fourth among 14 teams at the Council Grove High School Invitational Dec. 15.
The team went 5-1 in pool play, earning wins against Marion, Wamego, Chase County, West Franklin and Emporia, while losing only to Mission Valley.
The team advanced to the finals and placed fourth.
Team members were Reece Berens, Allison Gray, Caleb Halsted, Jonathan Hinerman and Lydia Kliewer.
