Dec. 18, Adam Tyler Mosier, journal entry of probation revocation for violation. Probation was revoked for failing to report. The defendant is to do a 120-day sanction with Kansas Department of Corrections. Probation is to be reinstated for 12 months. All previous conditions apply.
Dec. 18, Coy Alan Sherrill, journal entry of conviction and sentencing. The court found the defendant guilty of one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and sentenced the defendant to a controlling sentence of 12 months in the custody of the Marion County sheriff, to be served concurrent to his Dickinson County case. The court placed the defendant on supervised probation with Court Services for 12 months to begin upon his release from custody in Dickinson County. The court ordered the defendant to report to the Court Services officer within 24 hours of his release from custody. Said probation is subject to all standard terms and conditions and the following special terms: the defendant was ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal to submit, or admission of usage. Said probation is subject to all standard terms and conditions and the following special terms: the defendant was ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal to submit, or admission of usage. The defendant was ordered to write a letter of apology to the victim and present it to the Court Services officer for approval before sending. The court ordered the defendant to pay court costs and surcharge of $158, a probation fee of $60 and court-appointed-attorney fees as determined by the court. Dec. 18, Benjamin Kaleb Castle?berry, journal entry of conviction and sentencing. The court found the defendant guilty of one count of tampering with a traffic signal and one count of criminal damage to property. The defendant was sentenced to a controlling sentence of 30 days in the custody of the Marion County sheriff for Count 1 and 30 days in the custody of the Marion County sheriff for Count 2, to be consecutive to each other. The court placed the defendant on immediate supervised probation with Court Services for 12 months, which can convert to unsupervised after six months if in good standing and all conditions have been met. Said probation is subject to all standard terms and conditions and the following special terms: the court ordered the defendant?s supervised probation can be transferred. The defendant was ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal to submit, or admission of usage. The defendant was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service work and was ordered to apologize to the county commissioners within 60 days. The court ordered the defendant to pay court costs and surcharge of $158, a probation fee of $60, a booking fee of $45, and restitution of $176.90 to the Marion County Road & Bridge Department. The court further ordered the defendant to obey all federal, state and city laws and ordinances.

The defendant was sentenced to a controlling sentence of 10 months with the secretary of corrections and placed on supervised probation with Court Services for 12 months. The defendant is to follow all rules of his supervising officer. The defendant was ordered to not enter any establishment whose primary source of income is from the sale of alcohol, and he was further ordered to submit to random blood, breath or urine testing upon request of his Court Services officer or any law enforcement officer. The defendant was ordered to submit to DNA registration and be responsible for all associated costs. Should the defendant deny usage and the specimen require positive laboratory confirmation, he may be made to serve an additional 48 hours in jail for failing to be truthful with the supervising officer. The defendant is to obey all local, state and federal firearms restrictions. The defendant must pay the following amounts: court costs $193, probation fee $120, DNA fee $200, attorney fees $600 ($400 of this fee was abated), BIDS fee $100, booking fee $45.

Accidents
At 5:50 p.m. Dec. 19, Sara V. Crum, 61, Tampa, was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue eastbound on 330th from Meridian when the vehicle went into the south ditch and struck an embankment. Sgt. Larry Starkey investigated.
At 9:57 p.m. Dec. 20, Ira Lynn Hird, 49, Wichita, was driving a 2013 Kia Rio south on Kansas Highway 15 when a deer jumped into the roadway from some timber. The driver was unable to avoid the deer, which hit the center front of the vehicle. Passengers in the vehicle include: Kathryn Hird, 45, Ashley Hird, 15, Jacob Hird, 13 and Alexandria Hird, 13, all of Wichita. Deputy Derek L. Fetrow investigated.
At 11:15 p.m. Dec. 24, Jody A. Burke, 29, Hillsboro, was driving a 1996 Ford F15 pickup eastbound on 190th. The driver stated he fell asleep and went off the roadway to the right. The vehicle hit a delineator sign, a concrete culvert and a utility pole. The vehicle was facing west when it came to rest. The driver was taken by Hillsboro Ambu?lance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. Deputy Duane McCarty investigated.
At 1 p.m. Dec. 25, Kendra J. Henry, 39, Marion, was driving a 2007 Dodge R15 pickup on 5th Street in Florence. She stopped at the stop sign at U.S. Highway 77. She did not see an approaching vehicle and pulled out in front of a 2008 Dodge R15 pickup driven by Wava J. Ireland, 55, El Dorado. Ire?land swerved to avoid a collision, but her vehicle was struck on the driver?s side door. Deputy Duane McCarty investigated.
At 7:20 p.m. Dec. 25, Melissa Kathleen Demo, 47, El Dorado, was driving a 2000 Volvo C70 northbound on U.S. Highway 77. She failed to yield the right of way to Henry Najera, 41, El Cajon, Calif., who was driving a 2014 Freightliner eastbound on U.S. Highway 50. His right front bumper struck the left front of her vehicle. Alfonso Rodriquez was a passenger in Mr. Najera?s vehicle. Sgt. Larry Starkey investigated.
At 12:30 a.m. Dec. 29, Caleb Thor Hartman, 25, McPherson, was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 westbound on 120th and went off the roadway to the right into the north ditch. The vehicle struck a rock wall and mailbox. The driver left the scene. Deputy Duane McCarty investigated.
At 4:45 p.m. Dec. 30, Eric J. Schrag, 39, Hillsboro, was driving a 2006 Ford Explorer northbound on Falcon near 120th. The driver lost control of the vehicle in the ruts on the road and went into the east ditch. Sgt. Larry Starkey investigated.
Offenses
Sometime between 5 p.m. Dec. 12, and 8 a.m. Dec. 23, a custom sign for a cattle operation on 280th in Lincolnville was damaged in the amount of $300.
Sometime between 10 p.m. Dec. 23 and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 27, a white mailbox valued at $60 was damaged on 190th, Hillsboro.
