July 30, Lyle Lee Ledford, journal entry of motion for furlough. The court ordered the defendant is required to stay in the Marion County Jail until Aug. 1. The defen?dant will then be released as long as there are no negative reports on the defendant?s conduct.

July 30, Colby Dale Allmond, diversion agreement for one count of criminal restraint and one count of domestic battery. The defendant shall not violate any laws of the United States or of any state, or any ordinance of any municipalities. The defendant shall pay a diversion fee of $125, court costs and surcharge of $158, and court-appointed-attorney fees of $728.40. All costs and fees were to be paid at the time of filing of this agreement. The defendant shall enroll in and successfully complete anger management or batterer intervention program at his own expense, and follow all recommendations, also at his own expense. The defendant shall abide by any and all recommendations of the evaluator and all recommendations shall become part of the conditions. It is the defendant?s responsibility to provide a copy of this evaluation within 30 days of the filing of this agreement. This diversion agreement shall terminate within six months from the date of the agreement and upon defendant’s successful completion of the terms and conditions set out. The defendant understands that failure to do so will result in the Marion County attorney setting the matter for bench trial. The parties agree that the state and the defendant waive a jury trial.

Accidents

At 10 p.m. July 25, Donald L. Voth, 53, Marion, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer east on U.S. Highway 50 when a deer came onto the roadway. The driver could not avoid striking the deer. Deputy Travis Wilson investigated.

At 2 a.m. July 26, Tyrone Williams, 49, Duluth, Ga., was passing by the fuel pump at Johnson?s General Store in Florence in a 2009 Freightliner. He started to turn too soon and the left side of the trailer struck the fuel pump. Michael Smiley, 56, Columbus, Ga., was a passenger in the vehicle. Sgt. Larry Starkey investigated.

At 9:30 p.m. July 26, Dianne Kara Sanders, 22, Wichita, was driving a 2007 Pontiac Grand Am southbound on Indigo with passenger Amanda Fisher, 20, Anchor?age, Alaska, when a deer ran from the east ditch and struck the left side of the vehicle. Sgt. Larry Starkey investigated.

Offenses

Sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. June 22, $50 damage was caused to a mailbox in Lincolnville.

On July 5, between 12:50 p.m. and 2:14 p.m., a suspect was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct in Lincolnville, after failing to remove themselves from property at the owner?s request.

HILLSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT

Daily roster July 26-Aug. 1

July 26: Report of a subject operating a non-registered motorcycle in the 300 block of North Birch. Subject reported a lost wallet. Assist the Marion County Sheriff?s office with a Protection from Stalking order violation.

July 27: Parking complaint in the 300 block of North Jefferson. Motorist assist on U.S. Highway 56. Report of a possible accident on U.S. Highway 56; neither vehicle was damaged.

July 28: Report of an unattended animal in a vehicle in the 100 block of North Main. Report that a mower ran over a water faucet. Assist a resident with information on obtaining a driver?s license. Subject reported the loss of a handicap parking placard. Subject turned in a lost wallet; owner was located and the item returned. Arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant.

July 29: Met with subject reference a civil stand-by in the 900 block of East D St. Assist the U.S. Attorney General?s office with a background investigation. Stolen vehicle report in the 300 block of North Jefferson; vehicle was located in Hillsboro and a Hillsboro man was arrested. Fingerprint subject for employment. Report of a suspicious package at the golf course. Battery complaint between two adult males in Memorial Park; charges are pending.

July 30: Assisted subject with vehicle registration questions. Curfew violation in Memorial Park. Met with the county attorney regarding several criminal complaints. Officers attended Pipeline Emergency Preparedness training.

July 31: Met with the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence advocate regarding changes to the reporting system. Subject reported a possible problem with a customer in the 100 block of North Main. Report of a Prevention from Abuse order violation in the 700 block of South Ash. Possible stalking complaint in the 900 block of East D Street. Officer attended a safety committee meeting.

Aug. 1: Funeral escort. Subject reported someone they felt verbally abused a child in Hillsboro Heights ; the subject was gone upon officer arrival. Welfare check in the 400 block of Floral Drive. Assist EMS with an unresponsive person in the 400 block of North Ash.
