MCL to start summer reading program

Adventures in Reading is this year’s summer reading program theme at the Marion City Library (MCL). It will start on June 10 and continue until July 12.

The summer will be filled with outdoor adventures in reading.

Children preschool through 8th grade completed are encouraged to register at MCL to read books this summer and to participate in the program.

As children read books on their level on their own time and reach certain goals, they will play games to win prizes.

For the adults, the library will have Summer Reading Bingo. Each participant will receive a bingo card. For each row completed, horizontally, vertically or diagonally enter your name into a drawing for a prize.

For more information call the Marion City Library at 620-382-2442 or stop by and visit with the staff.
