MCL to host summer reading programs

Kids will have a whale of a time reading books and winning prizes this summer at the Marion City Library for the summer reading program “Ocean’s of Possibilities”

Children ages pre-school through 8th grade (completed) can dive into reading and win prizes as they reach certain goals.

The summer reading program will begin on Monday June 13 and will continue through Friday, July 15.

Along with reading books for prizes, there will also be weekly scavenger hunts, games to play and activities to do.

Get “hooked” on books this summer and enjoy reading for pleasure.

Adults can enjoy reading this summer by participating in the Marion City Library’s Summer Reading Bingo Challenge. Each person will receive a Reading Bingo Chart with 16 squares for different reading choices. For each completed line, you may enter for a drawing of a gift certificate. This challenge begins on June 13 and continues through July 15.
