Marion County Democrats met on July 8 in the Marion Community Center role as guest speaker was Marion County Clerk Tina Spencer. She spoke about her role as county election officer. She gave a thorough overview of her duties and obligations and her philosophies on the voting rights of every Marion County citizen.
Following the guest speaker, County Chair Eileen Sieger conducted the business meeting.
Lisa Collett talked about social media possibilities. Jill Tichenor talked about the needs and expectations of younger, registered Democrats.
Marion is now in a new Kansas Senate District 14.
The Aug. 12 meeting will be in the Hillsboro City Building meeting room.
