In 1985 Cathy and Jay remolded and opened the Dari-Ette in Hillsboro. Then the Dari Place in Marion. Through those doors they touched the lives of many high school students getting their first jobs.

Cathy is survived by her son Rick McClure-Burgen (Tyler), her daughter Karen Fryhover, grandson Jordan Fryhover, granddaughter Abby Fryhover, brother Max (Jan) Stacy, sister Morna Rochelle, sister-in-law Linda (Ben) Streit, her two adopted by heart daughters, Jodi Hawkinson and Molly Schofield, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, plus a lot of cousins who she was happy to have stayed in contact with through the years.
