Marion dance team shines at regional competition

 

The Tiptoz Dance Company in Marion recently competed at regional competitions.

The Tiptoz Marion Shine team, of Tiptoz Dance Campany competed at their recent regional competitions and won several awards. The team is coached by Emma Ayre and Christine Carter. The group won a studio award for Artistry and Choreography.

Team placements are as follows:

Beginner Solo Placements:

Kenzlie Brewer – 2nd overall Wichita, 2nd overall Kansas City.

Gwen Avant – 2nd Overall Wichita

Elle Guetterman – 10th place overall-Wichita, 6th place overall Kansas City.

Intermediate Solo Placements:

Kiersten Wildin – “Easy On Me” 7th overall and Judge’s Award Wichita

Mariella Koehn – “Cover Girl” 9th overall Wichita

Duet/Trios:

Mariella Koehn and Kiersten Wilden – “Thats My Girl” 2nd Overall-Wichita

Group Routines:

“Daughters of Tritan” 3rd Overall & Judge’s Award – Wichita. 5th overall Kansas City.

“Game On” – 9th overall and Judge’s Award – Wichita, 8th overall Kansas City

“Can We Pretend “- 1st Overall and Choreography Award – Wichita

The Shine team will perform their routines for the public at the 5th annual Tiptoz Recital at 2 p.m. on May 7 at the high school performing arts center.
