Marion County Republicans to meet on July 6

The Marion County Republicans are hosting a candidate forum to speak to the public at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6 at the Marion County Lake Hall. An ice cream social will be held at the forum.

Each candidate will be given the opportunity to speak and then take questions from the audience. All Republican candidates in Marion County on the Aug. 2 primary ballot in Marion County have been invited. Those who have acknowledged that they will be attending so far are:

Joan Farr – US Senate; Arlyn Briggs – Governor, Katie Sawyer – Lt. Governor for Derek Schmidt; Scott Hill – Representative, Dist. 70; Stephen Owens – Representative, Dist. 74; Caryn Tyson – State Treasurer; Luke Aichele – State Board of Education, Dist. 9.
