The Marion County Department on Aging will be issuing coupons to local farmer’s markets in the county starting June 1. You are eligible for this program if you are age 60 or older and meet the income guidelines. Household of 1 with gross monthly income of $2,248 household of 2-$3,041 household of 3-$3,833, household of 4-$4,626. Each household will receive $50 worth of vouchers for the farmer’s market season. These vouchers can be used to purchase fresh vegetables and fruits sold by authorized farmers in the Kansas Farmers Market Nutrition Program in any county.
Applications can be received at the Marion County Dept on Aging at 309 S Third Street.
