Local bank contributes to H4C

Mike Padgett (Central National Bank) presented a $5,000 check to Max Heinrichs Hillsboro Community Foundation) for the Hillsboro Community Child Care Center on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Central National Bank (CNB) in Hillsboro recently made a donation of $5,000 to the Hillsboro Community Child Care Center (H4C)
“This contribution helps support the future of Hillsboro,” said President of CNB Hillsboro Mike Padgett. “Access to child care resources is a vital part of keeping jobs here in our community and supporting small town business. We’re glad to have the opportunity to help support this initiative, which can ultimately bring more jobs and young families to our communities.”
Today, more parents work outside of the home than in previous generations. As a result, child care needs continue to grow in many Kansas communities. A community child care center would provide diverse options for infant and early childhood education for all of Marion County. The plans also include creation of community center space to be utilized by more than the proposed child care center.
H4C is expected to cost $2 million dollars. Contributions can be made to the Hillsboro Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Central Kansas Community Foundation.
