Hillsboro FFA members participate in dairy judging events

Hillsboro FFA members participated in the SC District FFA Dairy Cattle Judging event on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the Harvey County Fairgrounds. The event was hosted by the Newton FFA Chapter.

The Senior team of Colby Suderman, Kenzie Meisinger, Dallas Whorton and Clairy Morey placed 1st overall. The B team of Reese Duerksen, Cassidy Bernhardt, Adi Winter and Cooper Hefley placed 12th. Greenhand members Emma Bartel, Makenna Fenske, Brookleyn Thiessen and Piper Odle also participated. Individually, Duerksen placed 2nd and Meisinger was 5th.

The following week, members traveled to Harper to participate in the district Milk Quality and Products event. The event was hosted by the Norwich FFA Chapter.

The senior team of Duerksen, Winter, Claudia Soo Hoo and Morey placed 2nd overall. Also participating in the senior division was Whorton and Suderman. Fenske and Bartel participated in the Greenhand Division and Fenske placed 2nd individually.

Hillsboro FFA members have had a great start to fall judging events.
