Hillsboro FFA celebrates accomplishments

The Hillsboro FFA members pose with their State Career Development District Awards. The awards were 1st place – Meats and Dairy Cattle; 2nd place – Ag Communications and Milk Quality; 3rd place – Poultry, Horse and Livestock Judging; 4th – Veterinary Science; 5th – Ag Mechanics. State Events; 5th place Ag Communications; 7th place Ag Mechanics.

Hillsboro FFA members celebrated the accomplishments of their FFA members on Thursday, May 16. The evening started with a smoked pork chop meal followed by an awards ceremony.

Members were awarded degree pins, academic awards, scholarships and career and leadership development awards.

The Hillsboro Alumni members recognized members for their involvement in events above the chapter level and they presented their scholarship award to Anslee Brewer and Ashley Peters. The officers recognized the alumni and supporters. They presented Jamie Peters with the honorary degree and Megan Hein with the Blue and Gold award.

FFA teacher Sonya Roberts took time to recognize the outstanding leadership of the Senior Class and

the evening concluded with the announcement of the 2024-2025 Officer Team of Kenzie Meisinger, President; Colton Jost, Vice President; Cassidy Bernhardt, Secretary; Keitra Edwards, Treasurer; Claire Morey, Reporter; Colby Suderman, Sentinel; and Reese Duerksen, Student Advisor.
