HHS places at robotics tournament

 

Zach Denholm was a finalist in the Kansas VEX State Spin Up Robotics tournament on Saturday. March 4. He will compete at the state tournament on March 28.
David Schafer and Colton Jost competed in the Kansas VEX State Spin Up Robotics tournament on Saturday, March 4. They placed 16th in Skills.

Three Hillsboro High School students competed on Saturday, March 4 at the Kansas VEX State Spin Up Robotics tournament. The two teams were 4101H Mechniacs, consisting of David Schafer and Colton Jost and 4101J Off Balance, consisting of Zach Denholm.

In Skills, Denholm was ranked 5th while Schafer and Jost were 16th out of 24 teams. At the end of qualification rounds, Denholm came in 1st and Schafer and Jost were 6th.

Schafer and Jost dropped out in quarterfinals and Denholm made finalist, delivering him a spot at VEX Worlds. The Kansas TSA State VEX robotics tournament will be March 28.
