Melanie Hagen and Phillip Thiessen, both of Hillsboro, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Roger and Helen Hagen of HIllsboro. She is a 2003 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2007 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor?s degree in animal science.
Her fiance is the son of Walter Thiessen of Wichita and Pam Ratzlaff of Hillsboro. He is a 2001 graduate of Hillsboro High School and is employed at Klassen Dairy Inc.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 8 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
