Humpfrey, Schmidt plan May wedding
Sherri Humpfrey of Clinton, Mo., and Kevin Schmidt of Overland Park, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
The couple?s parents are Pat and the late Jerry Bristow of Montrose, Mo., and Robert and Bonnie Schmidt of Marion.
They are planning a May 21 wedding in Clinton, Mo.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Stacie and Steve Smith of Marion and Ed and Kelly Helmstead of Phoenix, Ariz.
Parents of the groom-elect are Michael and Jeanette Gregory of Herington.
A 2003 graduate of Marion High School and a 2008 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor of fine arts degree in metal smithing and jewelry, the bride-to-be is employed at JC Penney.
The groom-elect is a 2002 graduate of Herington High School and a 2008 graduate of Kansas State University. He is currently a student at Kansas University of Medicine class of 2013, and will be a lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
The couple plan a Sept. 8 wedding in Valley Center.
