Hess, Mai plan July 28 wedding

Lynn Nicole Hess of Goessel and Kent Arthur Mai of Goessel, together with their parents announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Keith and Sherry Hess of Marion and the granddaughter of Dale and Lorraine Snelling of Wonsevu and Linda Hess of Uniontown, Penn., and the late William Hess Jr.

She is a 2002 graduate of Ridge Road Academy and is employed by Bethesda Home in Goessel.

Her fiance is the son of Linda Mai of Great Bend and Barry Mai of Marion and the grandson of Edward and Marilee Debey of Phillipsburg and Vernon and Zelda Mai of Russell.

He is a 1999 graduate of Great Bend High School and a 2001 graduate of North Central Kansas Tech College with a double associate?s degree in automotive technology and applied science. He is employed by Moridge Manufacturing in Moundridge.

The wedding is planned for July 28 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion.


Thiessen, Wesner to wed June 23

Walter Thiessen of Wichita, Pamela Ratzlaff of Hillsboro and David and Claudia Wesner of Ellinwood announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Sara Thiessen and Andrew Wesner.

The bride-elect graduated in 2006 from Tabor College and will teach fifth grade at Sunflower Elementary in Paola next year.

Her fiance graduated in 2006 from Sterling College and will be teaching math at Paola High School next year.

The wedding is planned for June 23 at Dyck Arboretum in Hesston.
