Makovec, Forrester announce wedding
Jennifer Sue Makovec and Paul Edward Forrester, both of Salina, announce their engagement and plans to be married.
Parents of the couple are Robert and Carol Makovec of Ramona, and Jim and Miriam Strasen of Great Bend and George and Alice Forrester of Council Grove.
The bride-elect?s grandparents are Irma Reznicek and the late John Reznicek and the late Albert and Pauline Makovec.
The bride-elect is graduate of Centre High School and Emporia State University. She is employed as a court services officer with the 28th Judicial District Court Services.
The groom-to-be graduated from Russell High School and Kansas State University. He is a lieutenant with the Salina Police Department.
The couple will be married at 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Salina.

Allison Kunkel of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Tim Schuler of Marion announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Parents are Bruce and Sherry Kunkel of Honolulu, and Gary and Mary Schuler of Marion.
Grandparents of the bride-elect are John and the late Frances Poague of Salina, and Eldred and Evelyn Kunkel of San Jose, Calif.
The groom-to-be?s grandparents are Bud and Gayla Slemp of Pittsburg, the late Dudley Kanaga, and Erma and the late Larry Schuler of Ness City.
The bride-elect graduated from John Brown University with a bachelor?s degree in psychology and a minor in family and human services. The groom-to-be graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor?s degree in print journalism.
The couple will be moving to Chicago to join Mission Year, an urban ministry, community-development organization.
The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at sunset Aug. 23 in the country outside of Manhattan.
