Engagements (June 2, 2010)

Phillip Klenda of Durham and Leann Thomas of Manhattan announce their engagement and approaching marriage on Sept. 4 in Pilsen.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Tom and Patti Thomas of Marion. Her grandparents are Virginia Downing, Dave Thomas both of Marion, Ken Forsyth and the late Joanne Forsyth of Topeka.

Parents of the groom-elect are Val and Julie Klenda of Lincoln?ville. His grandparents are Theresa Klenda and the late Leonard Klenda, also of Lincolnville and George and Kathaleen Oborny of Marion.

She is a 2005 graduate of Marion High School and 2007 graduate of Colby Community College, receiving an associates degree in Veterinary Technology

She is employed at the Kansas State University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in Manhattan as a veterinary technician in the food animal department. Manhattan, KS where I work at the Kansas State University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital as a Veterinary Technician in the Food Animal department.

He is a 2000 graduate of Centre High School. He then graduated from the North Central Kansas Technology College in Beloit, receiving a degree in carpentry in 2001 and a degree in masonry in 2002. The groom-elect resides in Durham and is self-employed.

Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Durham.
