Funk, Platz to wed June 20 in Hillsboro

Donovan and Pati Funk of Hillsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Funk, to Brady Platz, son of Donald and Wanda Platz of Herington.

Grandparents of the couple are Lucille Wiebe, Eldon and Esther Funk, Werner and Pauline Monnich and Clifford Platz.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Cowley Community College and Xenon International School of Hair. She is employed at Jess? Tresses in Hillsboro.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Council Grove High School and self-employed with Circle P Construction of Herington.

The wedding is planned June 20 at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.

Bauer, Mayfield plan to wed July 11

Mrs. Rick Bauer of Hays announces the engagement of her daughter Tessa Lane Bauer to Derek Allen Mayfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mayfield of Hillsboro.

Grandparents are Faye Bauer of Hays and Mr. and Mrs. Don Hess of Marion.

The bride-elect will graduate from Hays High School in 2009 and plans to attend Fort Hays State University.

The groom-to-be is a 2004 Hillsboro High School graduate and a 2008 graduate of Fort Hays State University.

He is also pursuing a master?s of ministry degree through Rockbridge Seminary.

He is employed at Celebration Community Church and Home Depot.

The wedding is planned July 11 at Celebration Community Church in Hays.
