Penner, Williams plan June wedding

Gary and Terri Penner of Hillsboro announce the engagement of their son, Cody Penner, to Callie Williams, daughter of Kent and Deb Williams of Olsburg.

The groom-elect is a 2005 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2006 graduate of Hutchinson Community College with a welding degree. He farms in the Hillsboro area.

The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Blue Valley High School in Randolph and a recent graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in agricultural communications and journalism. She is employed by K-State Research and Extension in the Central Kansas District.

Grandparents are Lynn and Elva Penner and Mary Hoffner, all of Hillsboro, and Lee and Joann Williams and Marvin McClain and the late Pat McClain, all of Olsburg.

A June 2 wedding is planned at Sedalia Community Church in Manhattan.

 

Wiebe, Lightner to wed in summer

Randall and Raeanne Wiebe of Peabody and Gene and Carol Lightner of Inman announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Lindsay Wiebe to Brian Lightner, both of Peabody.

The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Peabody-Burns High School. She earned a bachelor?s degree in 2009 and a master?s degree in 2011, both from Kansas State University. She is employed as a speech-language pathologist for the Marion County Special Education Cooperative in Marion.

The groom-elect is a 2002 graduate of Inman High School and earned a degree in 2006 from Tabor College in Hillsboro. He earned his master?s degree in 2011 from Fort Hays State University. He is employed as a mathematics teacher and coach at Peabody-Burns High School in Peabody.

The wedding is set for June 30 at Zion Mennonite Church, 525 N. Main St., Elbing.
