Francis and Mary Jirak of Tampa announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristine Anne Jirak, to Mitchell Haig Simpson, son of Jim and Janice Simpson of Wichita.
The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Centre High School and a 2011 graduate of Benedictine College in Atchison. She works as a graphic designer at Solutions Inc. in Colwich.
The groom-elect is a 2006 graduate of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in Wichita and a 2011 graduate of Conception Seminary College in Conception, Mo.
He earned a master’s degree in management information systems from Friends University and is a quality assurance test engineer at Netapp in Wichita.
The wedding is planned July 12 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen.
Goering, Yocom
to wed in Oregon
Adam Goering and Andrea Yocom, both of Eugene, Ore., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
Parents of the groom-elect are Alice and Mark Goering of rural Goessel. His grandparents are Leonard and Delores Goering of North Newton.
Parents of the bride-to-be are Clinton Yocom of Aurora, Colo., and Tanya Unrein of Eaton, Colo. Her grandparents are Ernest and Loree Unrein at Fort Lupton, Colo.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Eaton High School and the Colorado School of Mines. She is a doctoral student at the University of Oregon.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Goessel High School and the School of Mines. He is employed at Abcam in Eugene.
The wedding is planned Aug. 1 at Mount Pisgah Arboretum in Eugene.
