Linda Ewert, retired homemaker, died Aug. 14 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
The funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with pastors David Plett and Nadine Friesen officiating. Burial will precede the service at 10 a.m.
She was born Aug. 4, 1922, to Jacob J. and Sara (Thiessen) Heinrichs at Hillsboro. On Aug. 3, 1951, she was married to Jacob D. Ewert, who predeceased her in 2000.
She is survived by three sons, Tom of Monrovia, Liberia, Paul of Hannibal, Mo., and Lyle of Denver, Colo.; four daughters, Norma Tippin of Hillsboro, Sharon Jost of rural Hillsboro, Marlene Ewert of North Newton, and Carol Owens of Wichita; four brothers, Marvin Heinrichs and James Heinrichs, both of Reedley, Calif., Lester Heinrichs of Visalia, Calif., and Johnny Heinrichs of Dinuba, Calif.; three sisters, Adelia Tschiegg of Rickreall, Ore., Ruby Arduser of Laurel, Neb., and Lillian Harms of Bel Aire; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
