Helen Thiessen, 94

Helen J. Thiessen, 94, farmer?s wife, died July 16 in Hillsboro.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, with pastor Steve Schroeder officiating. She will buried at a private service for family.

She was born June 27, 1914, to Gerhard and Helena (Klassen) Warkentin in rural Lehigh. On June 9, 1935, she was married to Isaac F. Thiessen, who survives.

She also is survived by a son, Paul I. Thiessen of Wichita; four daughters, Joyce Kessler and Arlene Schale, both of Hillsboro, Carol Geabhart of Newton and Karen York of Kansas City, Kan.; three sisters, Mary Thiessen of Hillsboro, Lydia McDonald of Tulsa, Okla., and Elma Warken?tin of Hillsboro; 16 grandchild?ren, 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Condolences may be sent to the family via jost@jostfuneralhome.com.
