George Endres, 88

George J. Endres, 88, former granite-cutter and designer for Norton?s Memorials, died Jan. 25 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at Miller Funeral Home, 107 S. Lancaster Ave., Hesston.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born and raised in Newton on the family farm. He was married to Bette Norton, who survives at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton.

He is also survived by a son, Jay (Jim) Endres of Redwood City, Calif.; a sister, Marie McQuarie of Santa Fe, N.M.; and two half-sisters, Alice Smith of Wichita, and Carolyn Davidson of Decatur, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with Bethesda Home in care of the funeral home.
