Eunice Hume

Eunice Marcella Hume, 83, former art teacher and food service employee, died Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia.

Services were at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia with Pastor Kenneth Armstrong officiating.

She was born Dec. 27, 1924, to William and Selma (Barchant) Granada in Hillsboro.

On April 8, 1950, she was married to Robert Hume, who predeceased her in June 1992.

She is survived by daughters Sharon DeMotte of Emporia and Marilyn Hinderliter of Derby; a sister, Mildred Karnowski of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established with Emporia Friends of the Zoo and Hand-in-Hand Hospice. Donations may be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State St., Emporia, KS. 66801.
