Dorothea S. Franzen, 96, retired college professor from North Newton, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Kidron Bethel in North Newton.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton, with pastors Heidi Regier Kreider and Ruth R. Harder officiating.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
The family will receive guests from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
She was born March 17, 1912, to Jacob H. and Katherina (Quiring) Franzen at Emporia.
She is survived by a sister, Ruth Franzen of North Newton.
