Ruby Schroeder

Ruby M. Schroeder, 89, dental office manager, died Sept. 2 at Golden Living Center in Marion.

The funeral was Sept. 5 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion. Burial was at the Marion Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 23, 1919, at Lake Charles, La. She was married to Elmer K. Schroeder, who predeceased her.

She is survived by sons Dennis of Peabody and Edsel of Marion; and sister Erma Ensz of Hillsboro.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with the American Cancer Society in care of Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion.

Betty Kemerling

Betty R. Kemerling, 84, homemaker, died Sept. 2 in Marion.

Services are being planned by Zeiner Funeral Home of Marion.

She was born Feb. 25, 1924, to William and Martha Kelsey Coulson in Newton. She was married to Kenneth, who predeceased her.

She is survived by son Richard Kemerling of Rush Center; daughter Vicki Johnson of Marion; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
