Charles Kjellin, 86

 

Charles Willard Kjellin, 86, farmer, died Nov. 21 at the Golden Living Center in Marion.

The funeral was Nov. 24 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion.

He was born Aug. 28, 1921, to Willard and Edna (Mitchell) Kjellin near Garrison. On April 9, 1950, he was married to JoAnn Peterson, who predeceased him in 2002.

He is survived by his children, Mary Beth Bowers, Karen Kelly, Pat Enos and Doug Kjellin; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established with Eastmoor United Methodist Church in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Marion, KS 66861.

Helen Pankratz, 90

 

Helen Pankratz, 90, housewife, died Nov. 24 at Holton.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. She will be buried at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 24, 1916, to Herman A. and Katrina Bergman Friesen in Corn, Okla. On June 9, 1942, she was married to Harrison Pankratz, who survives in Hillsboro.

She is also survived by two sons, Gary and Becky Pankratz of Davenport, Iowa, and Jay and Carlotta Pankratz of San Bernardino, Calif.; a daughter, Laura and Charles Call of Holton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lucille Prieb, 84

 

Lucille D. Prieb, 84, retired librarian assistant, died Nov. 24 at Newton Medical Center.

The funeral was Nov. 27 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. She was buried at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

She was born April 14, 1923, to Bernard and Gunde Groening Pauls in Maywood, Ill. On June 3, 1945, she was married to Wesley J. Prieb, who predeceased her in 1997.

She is survived by two sons, Gordon and Mary Metzler Prieb of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Robert and Rhonda Prieb of Hesston; two daughters, Judy and Keith Harder of Hillsboro, and Carolyn and Bob Backis of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
